Report from Holland, unable to rejoin Bn, surrounded by Germans. Posed as Belgian, deported to Germany for forced labour 1916 but still free in 09/1918. Returned with the Belgian deportees. Adm 229 F/Amb, bronchitis, adm 7 S/Hosp, adm Hammersmith Hosp 17/12/1918. Demob 25/03/1919. Post-war employed in Bollington dye works and Henry Leigh Slater's paper factory. Died 1964.
